It might sound crazy, but things are better in a recession.
To succeed in a difficult economy is to focus on doing as much as you can with what you have. Many things are better because people are trying harder. They try harder to give you better service or better products because they know they need to stand out from there competition now more than ever.
There’s a lot of opportunity if you scale up instead of down. It’s easy to live in fear and spend less, do less and play it safe. That may ensure survival but it won’t help you thrive. But if you work counter to the economic cycle; double down, spend more, do more when things are tough you might only break even now but in the future when things become good again, you’ll be 10 steps in front of your competitors. Spend the time and the money to give your consumers added value, not discounts. You and your business will be the one remembered and the one that thrives.
You have the opportunity to take advantage of the change or be crushed by it. What will you do?
