ABOUT
Success doesn't come from luck, it comes from hard work and hustle and Dennis knows how to hustle.
In his early years Dennis embraced every opportunity, despite of all of the challenges and difficulties he faced, to learn to create a better reality. Not only have his relentless motivation and infectious positivity earned him a top sales career, they've put Dennis in the position to share his gritty stories and best practices. He shares insights that include everything from basic sales tips to building a top performing sales team, motivation and goal setting, to the ethical art of negotiating.
Dennis has over 30 years experience in sales staring at age 7 selling his brother's Star Wars figures, to selling pots and pans, and now he is an entrepreneur and top-producing real estate agent with Sotheby's International Realty Canada in Calgary, Alberta. Trial and error has taught him the formula to his success; consistent hard work and the relentless pursuit of better, and he wants to share it with you.
Born and raised in Calgary, Dennis started with very little but he was always thankful. When the bread wasn't mouldy and the milk wasn't sour, those were wins. The rare opportunity to have butter on the bread and chocolate syrup in the milk were reasons to celebrate. Other moments in his childhood included standing in line at the food bank, social services coming to split up the family, and a Christmas dinner that the family couldn't afford.
His survival instincts kicked and he knew he had to something to better his situation, he had to hustle. He struggled for a while finding his fit in the world. He started out washing dishes and making dentures before he was introduced to professional sales; selling pots and pans to people in their own homes. In his first year of pots and pan sales, he doubled his income compared to his time in the dental industry. Not only was it a massive raise of income, but he experienced the exciting (and terrifying) world of relying fully on commission sales.
In 2003, following five years of pots and pan sales, Dennis started his real estate business growing it every year since. In 2009 he was named one of the Top 21 real estate agents in the country smashing all of his sales targets that year. In the years that followed, his was amongst the top 2% of real estate agents in his market for residential real estate. Dennis and his team continue to grow his real estate business while exploring new opportunities to hustle
